eCredable is a Data Furnisher – Founded in 2009
That means we know how to manage very sensitive data like PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and take this responsibility very seriously. We are focused on data that can help a consumer or small business owner build or enhance their mainstream credit scores. This includes data that is not typically reported to the big three consumer credit bureaus like phone, internet and utility accounts.
Our purpose is to be the “middleman” between the end user and mainstream consumer credit and business credit bureaus. The end user – whether they are a consumer or small business owner – grants eCredable permission to access their online service provider accounts so we can acquire up to 24 months of payment history that can be provided to the credit bureaus. Once this information is present in their credit files, any credit score that values this information will provide a benefit to the end user. Credit scores like FICO® Score 8 and VantageScore® 3.0 benefit from having this information available to their credit scoring models. These scores are used by lenders when making risk decision about credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, and student loans.
Like any other Data Furnisher, eCredable complies with certain Federal and State laws and regulations. The most common laws are the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), the FACTA (Fair and Accurate Transactions Act), and the GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).
