How does eCredable and Plaid work together?

When you first connect your bank account through eCredable via Plaid, you authenticate your login information directly with your bank, which your bank issues a unique security token to Plaid. Then Plaid maintains secure access to your bank account without storing your login credentials by utilizing secure tokens provided by your bank. This security token allows Plaid to securely access your payment source at regular intervals without needing your username and password. This ensures that your login credentials remain private and are not stored by Plaid, while still enabling eCredable to report your rent, phone and utility payments on your credit report.
